NovaLabs AI didn’t start in a lab. It started in the field with 100 pounds of gear on my back and a burning question in my head:
Why the hell are our radios still dependent on heavy batteries?
As a communications specialist in the XVIII Airborne Corps, I carried everything: weapons, armor, and rations—but the heaviest, most burdensome part of my load was the batteries powering our comms gear. Heavier than ammo. Heavier than water. I remember thinking, There’s gotta be a better way. These things should be able to power themselves.
That idea stuck with me—through deployments, through 25 years in the tech industry, and into the founding of NovaLabs AI.
Today, we’re building that “better way”: intelligent devices that generate their own power from ambient forces—atmospheric, gravitational, electromagnetic—no battery, no plug, no downtime.
